SCORPIOS BODRUM

THE MYKONOS CONCEPT THAT LANDED IN THE RIGHT BAY

The one place that never needed to change

IF YOU SPEND ENOUGH TIME IN BODRUM,
YOU REALISE MOST BEACH CLUBS ARE SELLING THE SAME THING.
SCORPIOS ISN'T.

If you spend enough
time in Bodrum,

you realiSe very
quickly that most

places are trying.
Maçakızı isn’t.

Scorpios opened in Bodrum in the summer of 2024, taking over the tip of a private peninsula at Cennet Koyu - northeast of Türkbükü, within the Maxx Royal grounds. The concept was born in Mykonos in 2015, and Bodrum is its first expansion beyond Greece.

What arrived was not another sunbed-and-DJ operation. Scorpios is built from the ground up 80cm-thick masonry walls from on-site stone, green roofs that disappear into the hillside, winding paths modelled on an Aegean village.

The architecture alone separates it from everything else on the peninsula.

There are villas on-site, but that's not why you go. You go for what happens between the beach and the terrace - the food, the sound, the shift in energy as the day moves.

That's rare.

WHY SCORPIOS STILL MATTERS IN BODRUM

WHY SCORPIOS STILL
MATTERS IN BODRUM

There are louder beach clubs in Bodrum. There are cheaper ones along the same coastline. There are newer ones trying harder.

And yet, Scorpios is where a particular kind of person ends up.

Because it's not about the beach. It's about what happens around it in the programming, the rituals, the crowd that doesn't need to be seen but chooses to be there.

Lunch is the anchor. Mediterranean and Eastern-influenced menus run through the day. Tables stretch, conversations overlap, boats arrive, people drift in and out. By mid-afternoon, the energy shifts without anyone announcing it. By sunset, The Terrace takes over.

If you're paying attention, you'll notice:

  • the same families returning each summer

  • founders and investors stepping off tenders

  • a creative community that treats this coastline as a second home

  • an international crowd that doesn't photograph itself

You won't see it advertised, but Scorpios draws the kind of people who could go anywhere and choose here. Not once. Repeatedly.

WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE
YOU ARRIVE

Location Cennet Koyu, Gölköy - on a private peninsula northeast of Türkbükü, within the Maxx Royal grounds. Seven minutes' walk from Mandarin Oriental Beach. 31km from Milas-Bodrum Airport.

Day Access €60 per person. Entry is through the Maxx Royal gate - an electric buggy transfers you to the tip of the peninsula. For Veluma guests, access is arranged directly.

The Beach Wooden pier, sunbeds, and a small number of private cabanas along sheltered water. Cennet Koyu is one of the calmest bays on the peninsula. Approximately 140 covers - it fills, so timing matters.

Dining Two restaurants, four bars. Mediterranean with Mexican and Eastern Mediterranean influence. The kitchen is led by Alexis Zopas, brought from the Mykonos outpost. Expect Mykonos-level pricing - this is not a casual lunch spot. Book a table, not just a sunbed. Lunch is where the day starts.

Sunset & Music The Terrace takes over from late afternoon. All music programming is curated by Scorpios Music, the in-house label. Afternoon sets transition into evening. Opening weekends feature headline acts in 2025 season launched with Satori, Fiona Kraft, and Jean Claude Ades. The energy builds gradually. Nothing is forced.

Wellness The Ritual Space sits on the eastern coast, facing the sunrise. Daily programming includes sound journeys, breathwork, meditation, and movement classes - all open to day guests. The 2025 season featured collaborations with Remedy Place on a dedicated longevity retreat and an all-female art programme called "Ever After" in partnership with HOFA Gallery.

When to Go Arrive for lunch. Stay through sunset. Leave before it becomes a nightclub - unless that's what you want. Early tables are quiet, almost slow. The shift happens gradually. By evening, it's a different place entirely.

Booking Table and daybed reservations through scorpios.com, or arranged by Veluma as part of your stay.

HOW WE WORK WITH SCORPIOS

For Veluma guests staying in nearby private residences, Scorpios becomes part of the wider experience - not the accommodation, but the daytime programme.

We arrange day access, table reservations, and event bookings as part of your stay. If Scorpios aligns with your plans, it's handled. If it doesn't, there are quieter alternatives along the same coastline.

That's the point of a private concierge. Nothing is mandatory. Everything is available.
